Myths About Caribbean Yacht Vacations |
Posted: September 25, 2017 |
As one for Fort Lauderdale’s leading luxury yacht charter businesses, we are often asked the same questions and are addressing the same concerns for our customers each season. Why? Because we’re experts in Caribbean yacht vacations and answering questions and debunking myths is a small part of what we do at Neptune Group Yachting. Myth 1: The weather is always great. While the weather in the Caribbean is typically warm and sunny it, of course, rains in these countries as well. The weather is not always perfect, so when planning Caribbean yacht vacations it is always a good idea to build in an itinerary for a rainy day or two, just in case. Myth 2: I won’t understand the language. You won’t understand when people speak to you in English? If being able to understand the locals is your concern you should stop worrying right now. English is the most wildly spoken language throughout the Caribbean. Communication for Americans is rarely a problem. Myth 3: Caribbean destinations are all basically the same. If you’ve been to one you’ve been to all of them. No, no, no and no. Each of the islands that make up the Caribbean are distinct and unique. They are each worth a visit of their own. For example, Jamaica is laid back and quite the opposite of the upscale St. Barts. The Bahamas is vibrant and Aruba is a glorious desert. Myth 4: You can’t go to the Caribbean during hurricane season. Of course you can travel to the Caribbean during hurricane season. The Caribbean accounts for a huge population of people who live in their homes on the islands year round – even during hurricane season. If you book during hurricane season buy the travel insurance but definitely don’t stay home. Myth 5: I’m a great sailor. I don’t need a crew. Oh, but you do need a crew. Even the best sailors in the world want to enjoy themselves on vacation. Your stewardess, captain, deckhand, maid and chef all work together to provide a vacation that meets your needs, whether that’s a relaxing boat vacation, an activity-filled charter, or somewhere in between. Hiring a crew for your yacht charter is a smart move that ensures you’ll enjoy your trip. Myth 6: Caribbean yacht vacations are for the rich. Yachting is no longer an activity for the rich and famous. We have affordable yacht charters (and sailboat vacations) from $53 to $98 to $112 or $483 per person per day. Your yacht charter vacation also includes food and many activities. Oftentimes the final cost of your boat vacation is the same as the cost of a traditional vacation with an international flight, hotel and dining expenses. Contact Neptune Group Yachting For more information about how to schedule your yacht vacation, contact the experts at Neptune Group Yachting. We want to connect you with the boating vacation of your dreams, and we’re happy to answer any questions (and debunk every myth) along the way.
